Thanks to the 217 primary care professionals across Central Queensland, Wide Bay and Sunshine Coast who completed the Education Needs Assessment Survey. Your input is helping Country to Coast Queensland (CCQ) reduce duplication and focus local education on what is most useful in practice.
What we heard
- Education is most valuable when it is clinical, practical and clearly relevant to primary care, delivered close to home with time to connect.
- The biggest attendance drivers are topic, proximity and whether the session is free or low cost.
- Preferred formats are in person, with a preference for after work, especially Wednesdays and Thursdays, with low demand for full day events.
I would like to sincerely thank CCQ for the ongoing support provided to our practice and the broader primary health workforce across our region. Your commitment to strengthening capacity—particularly in rural and regional communities—is greatly appreciated and continues to make a meaningful impact. Thank you again for your dedication to improving primary care in Queensland.
