Mobile Health Service

Free mobile GP and nurse care for people experiencing homelessness. 

Designed to support people experiencing homelessness in Rockhampton, this free, walk-up service provides outreach visits, care and local service connection.

services available:

Primary and preventative healthcare from a nurse and GP, including: 

  • General health checks and assessments 
  • Wound care, skin checks and dressings 
  • Basic medications and medication support 
  • Mental health support and brief interventions 
  • Referrals and, where possible, care coordination with local services

Please note: Controlled medications, including Schedule 8 medicineswere not provided on site. If needed, clinical team could support prescriptions by connecting people with available services. 

How your organisation can use this service

  • Let us know where people are gathering so we can plan outreach
  • Coordinate a joint visit with your outreach team
