Family and Friends Program

Contract Details

The Family and Friends Program is a free, peer-led psychosocial support service designed for people caring for someone who has experienced a suicidal crisis or attempt. This community-based initiative offers compassionate, practical support from the moment of crisis through to recovery.

The program empowers carers by:

  • Providing a safe space to connect, learn, and heal alongside others who have walked a similar path.
  • Connection at the time of crisis, ensuring carers are not alone.
  • Access to information and education to help carers understand and navigate the complexities of suicide recovery.
  • Opportunities for peer support, fostering shared experiences and mutual understanding.
