Thank you to all our dedicated health professionals, health partners and commissioned service providers for your commitment this year to improving the health of communities across Sunshine Coast, Wide Bay and Central Queensland.  

Our special thanks go to those working through the Christmas/New Year break to ensure high-quality healthcare continues to support our communities during the festive season.

CCQ holiday closures

Our offices will be closed from 5pm Friday 19 December and will reopen at 9am Monday 5 January 2026.  

During this period, our Executive roster will monitor critical events, including weather emergencies. If you need to contact CCQ during this time, please email us at contact@c2coast.org.au.

Here’s where you can find healthcare during the holiday season

Symptom checker

The healthdirect Symptom Checker is a simple, self-guided tool that asks you questions about your symptoms and recommended the right care for you. Whether you can manage symptoms at home, visit your GP or access urgent care.

  • Contact your local practice to check availability or ask for alternative care suggestions.
  • Use the healthdirect service finder for 24/7 health information, advice, and referral.

The Hervey Bay UCC is open during the holidays for urgent (but not emergency) conditions when people can’t see their usual GP:

  • 8am to 8pm every day (including public holidays)
  • Co-located at 5/166 Boat Harbour Drive, Pialba.

The Rockhampton Medicare UCC is open during the holidays for urgent (but not emergency) conditions when people can’t see their usual GP:

  • 8am to 8pm every day (including public holidays)
  • Co-located within Rockhampton Central Medical Centre, Stockland Rockhampton Shopping Centre, 331 Yaamba Road, Norman Gardens.

The Bundaberg Medicare UCC is open during the holiday for urgent (but not emergency) conditions when people can’t see their usual GP

  • 8am to 8pm everyday (including public holidays)
  • Co-located with Central Medical Bundaberg, 53 Commercial Street, Kensington.

For emergencies, always call Triple Zero (000).
