Who we're looking for?
We’re seeking to welcome 3–6 new members to the Council, bringing fresh perspectives and lived experience to help guide our work.
To reflect the diversity of our region and align with the Council’s Terms of Reference, this campaign will also prioritise younger members and strengthen First Nations representation.
When do we meet?
The Council meets four times a year (two online and two face-to-face in rotating locations). Members are reimbursed in line with CCQ’s Stakeholder Remuneration Policy.
Our selection priorities
We especially encourage applications from people living in:
- Central Highlands, Woorabinda, or Banana LGAs
- South of the Mooloolah River and the Sunshine Coast hinterland
- The area between the Mooloolah River and Maroochy River
- Nambour
Who have:
- Strong local knowledge of health priorities, community linkages, and networks within the CCQ footprint
- Experience in engagement and participation, including consumer voice, lived experience, or community empowerment
- Understanding of health, social, and community care systems
- Ability to contribute to policy, planning, and program discussions
- Skills in collaboration, communication, and governance/advisory roles
