The Education and Workforce Advisory Group is a multidisciplinary team of health practitioners, who meet quarterly to provide local insights and strategic advice to the Country to Coast Leadership Team on education and workforce matters in the primary care sector across Central Queensland, Wide Bay, and the Sunshine Coast.

Education and Workforce Advisory Group

The Education and Workforce Advisory Group is a multidisciplinary team of health practitioners, who meet quarterly to provide local insights and strategic advice to the Country to Coast Leadership Team on education and workforce matters in the primary care sector across Central Queensland, Wide Bay, and the Sunshine Coast.

Skills Matrix:

Based on three components:

i. an individual’s professional skills

ii. general experience, and

iii. the geographic location, diversity and equity of the Education and Workforce Advisory Group

Professional Skills

  • General practitioner (minimum 4 years’ experience)
  • Clinician (must be AHPRA-registered, minimum 4 years)
  • Mental health clinician
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health organisation
  • Aged care clinician University/research institute worker (health)

General experience

  • Demonstrated commitment to advancing primary health sector initiatives/programs in local communities
  • Demonstrated local knowledge of primary care education and/or workforce needs

Diversity and equity

  • Gender
  • Locality
  • Identifying as a member of any of these groups:

a. Aboriginal and/or Torres Straits Islander
b. people with disability
c. culturally and linguistically diverse

Clinical Advisory Council
Governance

The Clinical Advisory Council is one of three advisory groups to the Country to Coast Queensland Board.

The Clinical Advisory Council multi-disciplinary group comprises GPs, Clinical Educators, Researchers, Hospital staff, Paramedics and Allied Health professionals across our three regions into one collaborative Council.
