About the role

Eckersley Medical Centre is seeking a Practice Nurse to join our busy practice in Buderim, Queensland. This is a casual position, ideally 4 days a week with availability for leave cover as needed. As a member of our dedicated healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting the smooth operation of our medical practice.

What you’ll be doing

  • Administering medications, injections, and other treatments as required
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation on Best Practice software
  • Competent with Care Planning and Senior Health Assessments
  • Coordinating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Providing health education and advice to patients
  • Maintaining a high standard of infection control and workplace safety
  • Performing other general nursing duties as needed to support the practice including wound care, ECG, spirometry
  • Assisting general practitioners with patient procedures eg iron infusions and excisions

What we’re looking for

  • Current registration in Australia
  • Ideally previous experience in a general practice or similar healthcare setting
  • Strong clinical skills and a commitment to evidence-based practice
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to engage with patients and the healthcare team
  • Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly within a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in using medical software eg. Best Practice
  • Commitment to continuing professional development and a passion for nursing
