Previous experience is preferred but not essential as training will be provided. Full-time hours, negotiable with Fridays off.
The following attributes are desirable:
- To maintain a professional, empathetic approach when interacting with patients, particularly regarding patient confidentiality
- To be able to prioritise the workload and to be able to handle difficult situations in a professional and calm manner
- Communicating and liaising with the Practice Manager and the Health Professionals within the practice in a respectful, courteous manner
- Some programs we use are Medical Director, Pracsoft, Medical Objects, Outlook, MYOB, HotDoc
- Billing patients – appropriate handling of cash, using the EFTPOS machine, electronic invoices, transmitting accounts online to Medicare, and following up on outstanding accounts
- Reminding patients of their appointment using the HotDoc system, emails and SMS messaging
- Waiting room control according to our Code of Conduct
- Answering phone calls and following up on messages. Maintaining a high standard of record-keeping practices with noting, filing and scanning confidential patient information
- Some typing/Letters will be required
