Specialist care is now available in Rockhampton for people experiencing persistent pelvic pain, suspected or diagnosed endometriosis, painful periods or menopause-related symptoms.

The Rockhampton Endometriosis and Pelvic Pain Service is delivered by True Relationships and Reproductive Health in partnership with Evoca Women’s Health, with support from Country to Coast Queensland.

The Rockhampton Endometriosis and Pelvic Pain Clinic service provides assessment, treatment and referral support for people who need help managing symptoms of endometriosis, pelvic pain or menopause.

You may see different health professionals as part of your care, depending on your symptoms and what support is right for you. This could include a GP, nurse, physiotherapist, exercise physiologist or other allied health professional.

The service is part of the Australian Government-funded Endometriosis and Pelvic Pain Clinic program and aims to support earlier access to care, clearer referral pathways and better support for patients in Rockhampton and surrounding communities.

Endometriosis can cause severe period pain, persistent pelvic pain, fatigue and fertility issues. It affects at least one in seven girls, women and people assigned female at birth in Australia, yet many people wait an average of six to eight years from symptom onset to diagnosis.

The service may be suitable for people experiencing:

  • persistent pelvic pain
  • painful periods
  • suspected or diagnosed endometriosis
  • menopause-related symptoms that are not being adequately managed
  • symptoms that are affecting daily life, work, study, relationships or wellbeing.

You can speak to your regular GP or healthcare provider about whether this service is right for you. Your GP can support a referral and help coordinate your care.

People can also contact the service directly to ask about self-referral options.

Telehealth options may be available.

Bulk-billed services are available for eligible patients.
