The Queensland Centre of Excellence in Intellectual Disability and Autism Health’s Bridge to Better Health project is seeking practice nurses across Queensland primary care to support research into improving annual health assessments for patients with intellectual disability.
The Bridge to Better Health Project understands the time required to complete health checks and has partnered with Mater Research on this important Queensland research initiative. 
Who can take part?
Practices in Queensland
- With a practice nurse or nurses and GP sign-off to participate
- Who can sign a data sharing agreement
- Who can identify approximately three patients with intellectual disability
Practice nurses
- Who work in a practice signed up to the study
- Who are over the age of 18
- Who sign a consent form
Patients with intellectual disability
- Who see their GP at a practice signed up to the study
- Who are over the age of 15
- Who sign a consent form,or where appropriate have a substitute decision-maker provide consent
