Rehman Clinic is URGENTLY seeking a EN/EEN who has the ability to work autonomously and who can collaborate within a General Practice setting, who is passionate about delivering high quality care and can support and meet the changing needs of patients. Hourly rate is depending on experience.

Essential:

  • Current registration with the Nurses and Midwifery Board of Australia as an enrolled or registered nurse.
  • Demonstrated patient-focused approach in service provision.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team as well as independently.
  • Ability to prioritise.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Willingness to learn on the job.
  • Able to back fill sick leave at short notice
  • Holiday relief

Desirable:

  • Previous experience as a EN/EEN in general practice
  • Previous experience in the use of Best Practice software
  • Previous experience with Care Plans and Health Assessments
  • An understanding or experience of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners Standards for general Practices
  • Familiar with strive for 5
  • Familiar with the 5th standards of general practice

Applicants Require:

  • Training in CPR undertaken within the past year
  • AHPRA Registration Certificate.

Your role within the clinic will be as follows:

  • Cold chain monitoring
  • Records management/data entry
  • Accreditation processes
  • Maintaining stock
  • Identification of key practice patient populations (eg diabetics, asthmatics, elderly, AT&SI).
  • Implementing health assessments and care plans
  • Identifying patients due/overdue for immunisation
  • Developing recall systems
  • Chronic disease management including diabetes and asthma review and education
  • Any other nursing work as required by the Doctors
  • Patient advocacy
  • Triage/First aid assistance with emergency procedures
  • Acute assessment of sick patients
  • Health Assessments & Care Plans
  • ECG
  • Injections
  • Medication administration
  • Suture removal
  • Dressings
  • Assistance with minor procedures
  • Wound management
  • Ear Syringing
  • Spirometry
  • BSL
  • Adult and childhood vaccinations
