In June 2019, the Minister for Health, the Hon Greg Hunt MP announced the development of the National Preventive Health Strategy (the Strategy).
The Strategy supports Pillar Three of Australia’s Long Term National Health Plan– prioritising mental health and preventive health.
The Strategy aims to help Australians improve their health at all stages of life, through early intervention, better information, and targeting the modifiable risk factors and the broader causes of poor health.
The Strategy is currently in the consultation phase whereby key public health stakeholders and the public are involved in the broader development of the Strategy.
Consumer Survey
Consultation with the public and consumers of the healthcare system is integral to the development of the Strategy.
The Living Well for Longer – National Preventive Health Strategy Survey is now live on the Department’s website.
The consumer survey can be located on the website under Public Consultation here.
We would like to have as many participants as possible provide their perspectives on health.
Please note that the survey will officially close on Friday 31 January 2020.
