Across Seniors Month in October the Country to Coast, QLD Healthy Ageing Team were around the region at events, including the Corridor to Care Aged Care Trade Show in Central Queensland.
CCQ Healthy Ageing and End of Life Care Team members Marg Adams and Anne Bartaschut showcased CCQ at the vibrant event alongside community members for a day of learning and connection.
The free community day held on 24 October at the Rockhampton Sports Club, attracted hundreds of local community members, carers, health professionals, aged care staff and information stalls featuring aged care and health experts galore including CCQ, Wellways, Services Australian, Suncare, Relationships Australia, Meals on Wheels and OzCare to name a few!
The trade show provided a fantastic opportunity to engage with local residents to explore resources, and valuable insights about aging and health care support and options available in the region.
One of the highlights of the day was the chance to engage in meaningful conversations with community members about what they love about aging in Central Queensland!
We loved hearing personal stories and insights at the event, always truly inspiring. It highlighted the unique experiences and perspectives within our community and reinforced the importance of support networks as we navigate the aging process together.
We look forward to participating in more events like this that bring our community closer and continue to support the wellbeing of our seniors!
