Event Details

The Initial Assessment and Referral – Decision Support Tool (IAR DST: https://iar-dst.online/) provides a standardised, evidence based and objective approach to assist GPs and mental health clinicians with mental health care recommendations.

The Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care is expanding the IAR DSTs availability into primary care settings. It is anticipated that using the IAR-DST will become standard practice in local settings.

IAR DST training focuses on an introduction and orientation to stepped care, the initial assessment and referral process and the decision support tool, including a practical activity. The training is suitable for, GP’s, practice nurses and, allied health professionals. GPs attending the training are provided with a one-off $300 incentive payment.

More information on IAR can be found here: https://c2coast.org.au/initial-assessment-and-referral-tool/
