Event Details

Hosted by WorkUP Queensland and True Relationships & Reproductive Health, this symposium aims to create a collaborative platform that connects the youth support sector and domestic and family violence, sexual violence and women’s health and wellbeing sectors to address the multifaceted challenges faced by vulnerable young people navigating their relationships. The overarching theme underscores the collective commitment to influencing young people’s perspectives, breaking cycles of violence, and shaping positive outcomes for the next generation.

The full-day event will provide attendees with an opportunity to learn and work through the unique intersecting barriers that affect vulnerable young people. Attendees will have the option to participate in a range of workshops throughout the day as well as hearing from two different panels; one of service providers who have successfully helped young people and one of young people who have had positive experiences with service providers. Additionally, attendees will meet and hear keynote speaker, youth worker and TV personality Brooke Blurton speak on her experience an Aboriginal woman, a victim/survivor and youth worker.

Attendees can expect:

  • Networking and collaboration opportunities
