According to the latest quarterly figures the NDIS is now supporting more than 140,000 Australians as the health reorm continues to roll out across the country. The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) is currently providing quarterly updates to the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) Disability Reform Council.
The NDIA says that opportunities and increasing for providers to support participants to achieve their goals.
The roll out of the NDIS began in out region last year and will continue until early 2019. Key dates are:
- Bundaberg – 1 October 2017
- Rockhampton, Gladstone and west to the borders – 1 January 2018
- Fraser Coast, North Burnett, South Burnett & Cherbourg – 1 July 2018
- Sunshine Coast and Gympie – 1 January 2019
