Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service (WBHHS) is planning for the future – and it needs your input.
WBHHS has just developed a draft strategic plan – called Care Comes First … Through Patients’ Eyes – which is our commitment to providing the best possible health care to the people of Wide Bay, now and into the future.
Our region offers one of the greatest lifestyles in Australia, but carries with it some significant challenges, including a rapidly ageing population and high rates of chronic disease, mental health problems and other health risk factors such as smoking and obesity.
A series of public forums will be held across the Wide Bay as part of our Your Health, Your Say community consultation, to enable us to present the key points of our draft plan and to seek your input on the directions we plan to adopt and the commitments we believe we should make.
For details on dates and locations of the forums, just head to our website at www.health.qld.gov.au/widebay – where you can also find a copy of the draft plan, plus a short online survey we’d love you to fill out.
This is about your health and your future – make a difference and have your say.
