This three-part webinar series, presented by RACGP Specific Interests and Dementia Training Australia will offer a practical and stepwise approach to improving your knowledge, skills, and confidence in diagnosing and managing dementia in general practice.
Presented by three GP specialists in dementia, the second webinar in the series will present an overview of dementia and describe a practical approach to support GPs in diagnosing dementia.
Learning outcomes
- Implement a stepwise approach to taking a history from a person with possible dementia, including a collaborative history from their family and/or carers
- Implement an evidence-based approach to ordering investigations for a person with possible dementia
- Integrate cognitive screening tests as part of assessing a person with possible dementia
- Apply person-centred care when offering a dementia diagnosis.
