General Practice Sterilisation Update – two-part virtual series.
Please register for Part 1 (17 May 2022) and Part 2 (24 May 2022) to complete this series.

CCQ invites general practice staff to attend a two-part virtual session on instrument processing. The session aligns with the RACGP 5th edition, infection prevention and control standards. It is appropriate for staff new to general practice or those who have an interest in the sterilisation process.

Topics include:

• Spaulding classification
• Instrument cleaning/sterilisation
• Record keeping and storage of sterilised items
• Validation of instrument processing

Learning outcomes:

• Create an appropriate workflow based on knowledge gained in instrument processing.
• Ability to understand and apply instrument processing and annual process validation.
