Dementia Practice 2022 Webinar Series

Join us for the first in the Dementia Australia’s free 2022 webinar series exploring a range of topics around how to transform dementia practice. The initial 90- minute webinar will be on Thursday 28 April, learning from sector leaders about the latest developments in aged care in Australia.

This live session will be a conversation focusing on recent achievements and challenges, and how to offer quality care for people living with dementia.

Four senior executives of aged care providers (listed below) will be on the panel. Against the background of the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety, they will discuss:

  • What they are most proud of in their work supporting people living with dementia.
  • Their greatest challenge in recent times.
  • The one thing they think will make the biggest difference to the quality of dementia care.

On the panel, Dementia Australia is proudly joined by:

  • Melissa McDonald – Executive General Manager, Clinical and Care Practice Regis
  • Peter Williams – Chief Executive Officer OneCare
  • Megan D’Elton – Chief Executive Officer Noosa Care
  • Jason Eldering – Chief Executive Officer Southern Cross Care

By attending this session, participants can expect to develop an understanding of:

  • How the aged care sector is providing quality dementia care following the Royal Commission.
  • The experience of providers during the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • What has been learned by the sector in recent times.
  • The essential elements that are needed to bring about quality dementia care.

This webinar is suited to leaders in the aged, community, disability and health sectors.
