Gordon identifies as a proud Aboriginal and South Sea Islander, saltwater man, his family have strong connection to the Fingal Heads, Coodjinburra clan, part of the Bundjalung Yugembeh Nation, he also has connection to the South Sea Islands from Malatia, Tanna and Epi Islands.
Current living in the Gympie Region, Gordon has 25 year’s experience in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health in Sunshine Coast and Gympie regions.
CCQ’s Tara Anderson, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Projects Officer
Tara, proudly identifes as a Gamilaroi woman born on Arrente country in the Northern Territory. With familial connections deeply rooted in the Mount Morgan and Rockhampton region, she now calls this area both her home and workplace.
Tara holds a Diploma of Nursing, which led to her securing a position with a local Aboriginal Medical Service in 2018, where she worked as a member of the Chronic Disease Management team.
Her role within the Chronic Disease Management team not only provided her with a comprehensive understanding of the community’s health needs but also enabled her to cultivate enduring relationships within the community.
