Vaccines are your best protection

Influenza (the flu) is a highly contagious viral infection that infects the upper airways and lungs and can be life-threatening.

Natural immunity is not enough to combat the flu. In many people, it can be a mild illness, but it can also make you really sick, especially if you are in one of the vulnerable cohorts.

Don’t let the flu put you out of action for days or weeks at a time.

Getting vaccinated is the best protection against the flu and reduces the severity of your illness if you do catch it.

Speak to your local GP, Aboriginal Medical Service or participating pharmacy about booking your flu vaccination today.
