Clinical Societies events are not just a gathering of healthcare professionals, but a gathering of hearts and minds dedicated to enhancing the support and compassion we provide to our community members during their most vulnerable times.
Palliative care is not just a medical practice, but a mission to alleviate suffering and bring comfort to those facing life-limiting illnesses and supporting people to live well until they die.
It is time to break down these barriers and ensure that every individual receives the care and dignity they deserve in their final moments.
Voluntary assisted dying was legislated in Queensland in January 2023 and is available to individuals who meet eligibility requirements and for those facing suffering it offers a choice and sense of control over their own destiny.
Let us come together to learn, to share, and to grow via networking with your peers and colleagues, to explore practical strategies to improve palliative care and support for voluntary assisted dying.
Participate in your local clinical society, and the societies in your neighbouring regions too. These meetings are RACGP & ACRRM CPD pointed!
Thanks to CCQ’s Executive Director, Health and Wellbeing, Anthony Elliott local GP and CCQ Medical Educator Dr Amy Langford-Ely and HHS attendee Dr Wendy Kinton who collaborated to share the benefits of attending a clinical society for networking and localised information and how this helps improve patient care across communities.
