  • Testosterone for Women – Expert Panel – Facilitator: Dr Terri Foran, Experts: Prof Susan Davis AO, A/Prof John Eden, Dr Rosie King
Testosterone for women – where can it help?
Testosterone for women. For many years it has been mooted that not all menopausal symptoms are caused by lack of oestrogen alone. Testosterone is likely to have a role – but how, what, where and in whom are the challenges faced by treating clinicians. In this session, some of Australia’s leading experts on this subject will discuss the latest evidence on testosterone in women and how health professionals can best manage this potential therapeutic option.
  • Radiotherapy for Non-Melanoma Skin Cancers – A/Prof Dion Forstner & Dr Farshad Kasraei
Radiation therapy is the most effective non-invasive option for keratinocyte cancer lesions, with 5-year control rates approaching surgery.
It also complements surgery well in the adjuvant setting for high-risk disease. Advances in technology and an understanding of radiobiological processes has allowed it to be applied to a wider variety of disease presentations, whilst mitigating acute and chronic side effects. This webinar provides a holistic overview of the important role that radiation therapy plays in keratinocyte cancer management, and is a prelude to an associated comprehensive online RACGP and ACRRM, and Skin Cancer College Australasia-accredited CPD learning program designed for healthcare providers.
