The Student Case Studies

At the University of the Sunshine Coast, we aim to produce nurses that are passionate about Aged Care with exemplary clinical thinking skills and an excellent degree of knowledge. In Partnership with Lutheran Services, we have offered the Transition to Practice Program to a select group of final year Nursing Students.

These students have decided on Aged Care as the field of Nursing they wish to pursue, so their final clinical placement prior to graduation has been in Cooinda Aged Care in Gympie.

A Seminar Series was offered to support both the students and the facility, and the final of our Lunchbox Lectures will be the Student Case Study presentations where the students will showcase their learning in Aged Care.

As a local healthcare service provider, you may be interested in learning about the opportunities afforded to these students and witness how a program such as this has developed their skills. Come and meet the students who undertook this exciting and innovative program.

To register, please either email gympie@usc.edu.au or phone 5456 5800
