Salary: $150/Hr or 70% of Billings

Location: Gympie, MM3 Status.
Roster: Flexible Days and Hours between Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.00pm. No Weekends or Home visits.
Supports: Practice Manager, 2x GP’s, 1x RN, onsite Pathology, Allied Health Rooms. Software: Best Practice.
Schools: 18 Kindergartens, 9 Primary Schools, 4 Secondary Schools in Gympie.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive medical care to patients of all ages.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses.
• Perform routine check-ups, health-risk assessments, immunizations, and screening tests.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.

Requirements: Pre-Requisite Skills
General Practice: General family-orientated medical practice
Medical: Knowledge of chronic disease management – diabetes, respiratory medicine, acute and chronic cardiovascular disease, geriatrics, paediatrics, ENT, dermatology, cancer diagnosis, management plans, joint disease, pain management / appropriate diagnosis referrals and management plans.
Surgical: Minor surgical procedures within clinic only, excision skin lesion/repair of wounds/removal of foreign bodies in the eyes, drainage abscess, treatment of warts-nonmanipulative orthopaedics- removal of hormone implants, cortisone joint injections and minor skin cancer surgical procedures.
Obstetrics/Gynaecology: Contraceptive advice, STD management, antenatal care, no confinements or labour ward, pap smear tests, postnatal care, breast disease.
Anaesthetics: Local anaesthetics only, nerve blocks for minor regional procedures.
Emergency: Acute respiratory medicine, asthma managements, cardiovascular medicine, stabilisation prior to evacuation to local hospital, ECG interpretation, IB access, airway
After Hours: Yes, alternating shifts with other GPs for patients of our practice only.
Qualifications and Experience: Vocationally Registered GP, AHPRA Registration.
