Resources to build resilience and disaster management capability

Two resources are available to support residential aged care facilities to better prepare for and manage their business continuity and disaster response.

The Queensland Government has prepared an RACF Planning and Response Checklist (DOCX, 3 MB)  and Planning Resource (PDF, 2 MB) , to support residential aged care facilities to develop, review or update their business continuity and  emergency management plans. The same principles can also guide disaster management  planning in retirement villages, disability accommodation and other care facilities.

Hervey Bay Neighbourhood Centre (HBNC) and the Community Services Industry Alliance have released the Resilience Maturity Scorecard, to help you better understand and improve your organisational resilience. The Resilience Maturity Scorecard takes only 20 minutes to complete and results are downloaded in a report.

HBNC has a number of workshops to help organisations and community groups to review and plan for the future, including one-on-one sessions where your Leadership Team can be supported to review the Scorecard and implement an action plan. Book a workshop here.
