The purpose of the Clinical Council is to enable the CCQ Board to make decisions that are person-centred, relevant to communities and aligned to consumer care expectations.

It is formed via a multidisciplinary group of clinicians and allied health professionals to provide strategic advice on clinical issues to the Board of CCQ, and serves as a link between the CCQ health practitioner community, local Clinical Societies and the CCQ Board.

Clinical Council Governance

The Clinical Council is an advisory sub-committee of the CCQ Board, who is accountable for the performance of the organisation. The Board ensure that appropriate clinical, financial, risk, planning, legal and business management systems are in place to support the organisation to meet its objectives.

In order to effectively support the Board to make decisions, advisory sub-committees provide strategic advise to the Board on relevant issues. These include clinical and community advisory committees as mandated by the Australian Government through the Primary Health Network (PHN) program.

The Clinical Advisory Council is a multi-disciplinary group that comprises GPs, Clinical Educators, Researchers, Hospital staff, Paramedics and Allied Health professionals across our three regions into one collaborative Council.
