Event Details

NPS MedicineWise is facilitating a free, CPD accredited, online education session on Wednesday 29th of June 6 7 pm.

Ensuring the safe use of medicines with anticholinergic effects in older people can have a positive impact on quality of life and reduce the risk of serious side effects such as dizziness and falls.

This educational visit is part of a program designed to:

  • help GPs recognise the extent to which different medicines contribute to anticholinergic burden
  • support better outcomes from existing resources and pathways, such as medication management reviews conducted in a residential aged care facility or at home
  • provide a range of tools to assist with reducing anticholinergic burden, such as a fact sheet, decision aid and action plan for patients and their carers

The session will be held on ZOOM. To register, please email msydenham@nps.org.au and provide your name, practice name and email address to be emailed a meeting link.
