Course Summary 
This training aims to provide participants with the knowledge and confidence to increase screening and management of HCV in primary care settings.

Synopsis
This interactive webinar that will explore innovative models of care with the aim to reinvigorate general practitioners’ engagement in prescribing DAA therapy for hepatitis C. After attending this webinar, attendees will identify patient barriers to testing and treatment and consider new strategies for connecting with the patient population to find and treat the remaining cases in Australia.

Target Audience
This is a RACGP partnered webinar for General Practitioners and GP Registrars prescribing or intending to prescribe s85 direct-acting antiviral medication for HCV in primary care settings.

Learning outcomes
By the end of this training, participants will be able to:

  1. Become aware of successful HCV models of care in Australia
  2. Identify patient barriers to HCV testing and treatment
  3. Consider new strategies for connecting with the patient population
