CCQ in partnership with the Sunshine Coast Hospital Health Service (SCHHS) invites you to this webinar, presented by the SCHHS Haematology team to explore a range of issues relating to Haematology (non-malignant). The aim of this webinar is to provide GPs with up to date information about the most common conditions and explore the most appropriate treatments and pathways, enabling GPs to manage their patients effectively. Additionally, Senior Medical Officer, COVID-19 Virtual Ward will provide an update on referral pathways for COVID-19 positive patients.

Learning outcomes:

  • Review the Haematology (non-malignant) HealthPathways.
  • Interpret assessment and management of thrombocytosis (high platelets) / thrombocytopaenia (low platelets), lymphocytosis / leukocytosis, and polycythaemia / anaemia.
  • Describe current management of COVID-19 positive immunosuppressed patients.
  • Utilize referral pathways for COVID-19 positive patients.
