More information about the Initial Assessment and Referral Decision Support Tool Training (IAR DST)
Australia wide, the Department of Health is introducing the Initial Assessment and Referral Decision Support Tool – known and referred to as the IAR-DST or 8 Domain assessment. Guided by the clinician’s assessment and clinical judgement, the tool provides a consistent way to make decisions in matching client’s mental health needs with the right level of service intensity, at the right time. Our Head to Health team use the IAR-DST when assessing referrals and determining suitable support options.
