Living with dementia program by Dementia Australia

About this event:

This program provides an overview of dementia and how to proceed after a diagnosis including coping with change, relationships and communication, planning for the future and staying healthy.

This program will run across seven sessions:

  • Tuesday 2 February 2021, 9.30am – 11.30am
  • Tuesday 9 February 2021, 9.30am – 11.30am
  • Tuesday 16 February 2021, 9.30am – 11.30am
  • Tuesday 23 February 2021, 9.30am – 11.30am
  • Tuesday 2 March 2021, 9.30am – 11.30am
  • Tuesday 9 March 2021, 9.30am – 11.30am
  • Tuesday 20 April 2021, 9.30am – 11.30am

Dementia Australia’s facilitators have specialist dementia knowledge, skills and experience. These sessions are delivered interactively, you will be encouraged to share your experiences alongside other participants giving you an opportunity to develop new support networks.

Suitable for:

People living with dementia and their family carers and family members. This program is not suitable for professionals employed in the health or aged care sector.

Due to the coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak, this event will be delivered using Zoom. A Dementia Australia team member will be in contact to confirm your booking. If you have not used Zoom previously our team member will provide support before the event to ensure you can join in with ease.
