Join Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton’s leading specialists for an interactive orthopaedics robotic workshop, as they present on topics relevant to General Practice.

Program

9 am to 9.30 am — Arrival, registration, networking and introductions

9.30 am to 10 am — Dr Will Pretorius, Orthopaedic Surgeon – History of orthopaedic navigation and robotic assisted surgery. History of robotic surgery through the years, instruments, navigation, psi and what’s next?

10 am to 10.30 am — Dr Matt Rau, Orthopaedic Surgeon – Orthopaedic navigation at Mater Rockhampton, what does it look like? Introducing ROSA for total knee replacements (TKR).

10.30 am to 11 am — I-Med Imaging Radiologist – Topic TBC

11 am to 11.30 am — Dr Will Pretorius – The importance of patient selection in relation to robotic surgery: what to consider and what to expect.

11.30 am to 1 pm — Lunch and operating theatre interactive experience (groups alternate) – The ROSA robotic guided navigation system, including Q&A.

1 pm to 1.30 pm — Dr Matt Rau, Overview of new techniques: challenges and experiences for the surgeon and the patient.

1.30 pm — Program concludes
