Mental Health Education Team, Consumer and Carer Consultant

Knowledge development workshops for QLd Health non-Mental Health Staff, new graduates, students and partners of Mental Health Services.


Each workshop consists of 2 sessions:

  • Module 1: 9.00am – 11.30am
    • Mental Health Awareness and Conditions
      Provides an overview of common mental health conditions and illnesses including signs, symptoms and treatment options and an introduction to recovery.
  • Module 2: 12.15pm – 3.00pm
    • Mental Health Specialised Services and Mental Health Act 2016
      Introduces participant to Mental Health Specialised Services (MHSS) systems including teams, models of care and referral processes. It also provides an overview of the Mental Health Act 2016.

This training is designed in two modules that can be attended together or individually.
