What you need to know about the Sepsis Clinical Care Standard

Please join the Paediatric Sepsis Series – Sepsis Clinical Care Standard, the first in a series of monthly online education sessions brought to you by the Queensland Paediatric Sepsis Program.

Sepsis is a life-threatening condition that arises when the body’s response to an infection damages its own tissues and organs.

The Sepsis Clinical Care Standard will help to ensure sepsis is recognised early and patients receive coordinated, best-practice care so that the risk of death or ongoing morbidity is reduced. This includes timely recognition of sepsis, early and appropriate antimicrobial therapy and continuity of care from the acute setting through to discharge and survivorship.

Up for discussion will be what the Sepsis Clinical Care Standard means for your practice, lead by sepsis expert, Associate Professor Paula Lister – Director Paediatric Critical Care, Sunshine Coast University Hospital QLD and Medical Co-Chair, Queensland Paediatric Sepsis Program.

Register now to attend one of only two sessions on offer, Monday, 18th July and Tuesday, 19th July (repeat session), via Microsoft Teams.

Please check your ‘Other’ or ‘Junk’ mailbox if you do not receive a confirmation email or email paediatricsepsis@health.qld.gov.au if you require any further information or support.
