Having commenced operations in November 2023, Bundaberg Urgent Care Centre (UCC) is moving to extend opening hours in early 2024 and is inviting expressions of interest from GPs to take up after-hours shifts on-site.
Located within and operated by IWC, a not-for-profit health and community services provider delivering inclusive services to all members of the Bundaberg community, Bundaberg UCC is currently open on business days, Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm, treating patients from Bundaberg and surrounding areas who require same-day urgent care for minor illnesses and injuries.
From early 2024, Bundaberg UCC will move to 7-day extended hours service, offering shifts for interested GPs on weekdays from 5pm – 9pm and weekends/public holidays between 8am and 5pm (split shifts).
This is an exciting opportunity for GPs to gain experience in an acute care setting, with training provided. Please note that GPs on a training pathway may need to fulfill additional eligibility criteria. For GPs selected, IWC will offer a competitive hourly payrate arrangement.
