The Triple P – Positive Parenting Program’s evidence-based online parenting support programs are now free to all families in Australia with children under 12.
With a practical evidence-based approach, Triple P’s parenting strategies have helped millions of families across the world build stronger family relationships and raise more confident children.
Triple P has been shown to reduce childhood anxiety and behavioural problems, such as conduct disorder, which impact the long-term wellbeing of children and families.
For GPs, Triple P Online is a free, self-directed resource that can be used to provide additional support to parents. Parents referred to the program can engage immediately without the restriction of waitlists. The strategies provided better equip parents to deal with difficult situations and behaviours in children without (or prior to) diagnosis or medication.
The program can be accessed at www.triplep-parenting.net.au.

This Infections in Pregnancy module provides an important update for GPs on
congenital cytomegalovirus (CMV) and syphilis, both of which can have
devastating consequences for the developing baby. CMV is the most common congenital infection resulting in childhood disability in Australia, yet less than 20% of Australian GPs are confident in providing advice on CMV in pregnancy⁽¹⁾. Syphilis notifications in women of childbearing age have quadrupled between 2015 and 2020⁽²⁾. Untreated syphilis leads to adverse pregnancy outcomes in about 50% of affected pregnancies⁽³⁾⁽⁴⁾.
