Webinars

On 17 February 2020 we held a webinar hosted by Associate Professor Susan Wearne, Principal Medical Advisor for the NMWS and Professor Jenny May from the National Rural Health Alliance.  The response to the webinar was overwhelming with 559 participants watching, and 75 joining the Live Q&A, asking 68 questions in total over the hour.

The webinar is now available to watch online here.

Given the success of the first webinar, a second webinar has been scheduled for 5-6pm AEST on Thursday 5 March 2020 with Dr Tessa Kennedy from the Australian Medical Association – Council of Doctors in Training participating on the panel with Associate Professor Susan Wearne.

This webinar will be open for all attendees but will have a particular focus on junior doctors and frontline members of the medical workforce.

Professor Brendan Murphy, Chief Medical Officer of Australia and Dr Susan Wearne, Principal Medical Advisor, NMWS, filmed an short video providing an overview of the Strategy earlier this month.  To view the video and/or participate in the webinar, please visit this page.

Questions can be sent to panel either during the webinar or beforehand.

To submit a question beforehand please email: healthworkforcestrategy@health.gov.au.

Online Survey

To increase the reach of the consultation process, Health is conducting a survey in conjunction with the webinar and forums to provide stakeholders the opportunity to identify their preferred potential solutions.

Complete the survey here. The survey closes on 17 March 2020 and it’s hoped the online survey can be completed by as many stakeholders as possible to get the most reliable results.
